Happy Birthday to Myyyy Sister

1/28/2019

Comments

Psstt...
Hey there.
Good morning! Its 3:30am on this side of the world and it's officially January 28th, which means it is my sister's birthday!!!
Side note: I called her about 30 minutes ago and said, "Are you sleeping?" *insert evil laugh*
If this specially dedicated post is not clear enough, I love my sister.
I know what you are thinking, and I am not trying to one-up her AT ALL. *insert evil laugh*

But seriously, if you have ever had the pleasure of meeting my sister, you will understand the remaining part of this post.
One lesson the Lord has been teaching me quite recently (and which makes even more sense now) is that everyone in your life - especially in your immediate family - is deliberately placed there by Him, because you need their influence in your life - however great, however small - to fulfill your purpose here on earth.
Gbemi/Alice/Adesoji is:
  1. That person who walks into a room and lights it up with her effervescence. Practical example: One of our church members who has only ever spent a total of 6 - 10 hours with her during Thanksgiving has told me on two occasions how much she misses her. (Mind-blown!)
  2. That person that always has a story. She does. She really always does! And she tells it with such vivacity, drama, and flair that even the most unimaginative of people would remember actually being in that story years down the road.
  3.  A sweetheart. She cares deeply about the welfare of others, and is just so darn lovable.
  4. Fun. Y'all know what I am talking about.
  5. Fierce. Whoo... hell hath no fury like a Gbemi on a war path. I am telling you, if her eye should flash like this, she will tell you why you are wrong, why she is right AND why you should think the same way. And honestly, most of the time, I agree with her. I don't always tell her I agree, but mostly I do.
  6. That person who is incredibly thoughtful and tries to live by the Golden Rule.
  7. That person who chooses, everyday, to love the Lord and to live as He says to.
  8. My sister who is going to succeed beyond her wildest dreams and be a city on the hill.
  9. My friend who I will always be proud to call my friend
  10. a cutie for Jesus who is so immensely loved by God, her family and friends, and has every reason to celebrate that love in her life today.
My multi-personalitied sweetheart, I love you. Happy birthday, mon cherie. God's got so much for you. I am flipping excited for ya!
Thousand kisses for ya.

Now...to the important sisterly duties (video time!)
